How does it work?
Wireless broadband is a wireless system that uses private and secured licensed frequencies. Customers are provided with a small transceiver that is attached to either an existing TV antenna or to a small mounting on their home/office by our professional installers. Depending on the distance from the Communications Tower and the impact of local trees, some customers will require taller masts in order to obtain the service. The transceiver is located on your roof and connected by cable that is run into your premises and to the supplied cable modem.
McPherson Media’s professional installers will do and provide everything that is required so that you can quickly and effortlessly begin to use the service.
What else can I use my wireless connection for?
Such is the carrier grade quality of our network, customers have the option of being able to use a McMedia VoIP service to make telephone calls, with untimed local and national calls from as low as 14c per call. Please see our VoIP brochure or ask our friendly staff for more information.
What broadband speeds are available?
Our standard plans start at 1500/256k, over five times faster than the base ADSL connection speed & over thirty times faster than dial-up. For more information on plans with higher speeds please ask our sales staff.
