  Mac Vs Pc

When you are in the market for a new computer, you have different options open to you, mainly the option between buying a Mac or buying a PC. I want to explain basic differences between the two and also point out the pros and cons of each.

Mac’s are known to be more stylish and easier to use than a PC, with the added bonus of being more stable than a PC. Other advantages are that Macs are relatively free of viruses and spyware or malware that can infect your system like what can happen if you are using a Window’s based PC. Although Apple claim this is the case, they also cannot claim that Mac’s are totally immune. Mac’s a favorite for graphic design, video editing, song composition and other multimedia related functions, as they can handle graphic intensive software better than a PC with a model that is straight out of the box.

Some of the downsides of a Mac are that they tend to be more expensive than a basic PC with similar capabilities. If you are a Mac user and you are having technical problems, it can also be harder to find a computer technician who can support a Mac because PC’s are more widely used. Some ISP’s may not be able to support both Macs and PCs, which can lead to headaches when you’re in strife with an internet connection.

The upsides of owning a PC is that they are more commonly used throughout the world, therefore they are more affordable, with pricing ranging from as little as $400, and software for a PC is far more common in the marketplace and a lot of programs are made for either PC or Mac, rather than both. There are exceptions to the rule, with some programs that will run on both platforms, and there are also PC based programs made especially for Mac’s, such as Microsoft Office for Mac.
These are some of the points you should consider when choosing a new system. Don’t forget that the choice is up to you, and try to take into consideration your needs and wants to make sure what you buy will completely meet your needs. Good luck!
